Day 8 - Kampong Cham – Kampong Thom – Siem Riep

Continue the journey to the remains of Kuhea Moha temple and Phum Prasat temple.

Arrival around noon in Kompong Thom, a picturesque town on the banks of the Stung Sen River and visit the Prasat Andet temple.

Kampong Thom is Cambodia's second largest province by area and one of the provinces that border the Tonle Sap Lake and is in Tonlé Sap Biosphere Reserve. It is, rich in tourism potentials to attract tourists with its exotic lakes, rivers, forests, mountains and more than 200 ancient temples.

Visit the fabulous Prei Kuk Sambor, one of the oldest and best preserved pre-Angkorian temples in Cambodia. Originally known as Isanapura, construction started during the seventh century AD, but the site remained an important centre of learning during the Angkorian period.

In the afternoon, continue your journey towards Tonle Sap Lake and Siem Reap.

Along the way, stop in a village to enjoy the Krolan, a specialty which is made of glutinous rice mixed with coconut and bean then cooked in the bamboo tubes.

Visit Spean Praptos brige, used to be the longest corbeled stone-arch bridge in the world, with more than twenty narrow arches spanning 285 ft (87m). The bridge was built in the 12th century during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. It is one of the few
Khmer empire era bridges to have survived to the modern day.
